During London Art Week 2024, Secolo and EÉRA unveied their limited edition capsule collection, ‘Through Chrome Reflections’.
‘Through Chrome Reflections’ reimagines three of Secolo’s iconic pieces through the EÉRA lens: the Sibylia Armchair, Laghi Coffee Tables and Laghi Mirrors. Building on Secolo’s contemporary design approach, each exclusive style is reconstructed using EÉRA’s bold, geometric lines and signature utilitarian hardware. Taking cues from the surreal, unexpected shapes of Erwin Wurm and the pristine, futuristic vision of Japanese illustrator Hajime Sorayama, the collection explores opposing avenues of inspiration and seeks beauty in contrast. The result is inflated forms intensified by a chrome finish, creating a truly singular aesthetic that embodies a distorted elegance.
This limited edition edit is a testament to Secolo’s commitment to combining the use of high-quality materials with Italian craftsmanship. The integration of EÉRA’s distinctive design language and expressive approach gives these pieces a uniquely impactful edge.
The capsule collection was presented between the 7th and 13th of October during London Art Week – a pivotal event in the Art & Design calendar, which coincides with Frieze Art Fair and sees visitors from all over the world convene in London.
Occupying a stripped back space in the capital’s bustling centre, the showcase of ‘Through Chrome Reflections’ offers a welcome reprieve from London’s busy streets.
